“Mediocre people want to be loved. True people are lovely.”
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
I would like to publicly express my gratitude to some people who have contributed greatly to my leadership journey.
My wife, Hayley, has been a constant source of support and love throughout our marriage, but especially during my exploration of Organizational Leadership.
My children have illuminated to me the depths of love and daily provide me with examples of the joy of servant-leadership.
Karen Westwood, Dick Westwood, Kinsey Westwood and Sheldon Westwood have all given me much needed pep-talks, prayers and have helped me stay grounded throughout this journey.
Chris Mowery embodies many of the great leadership tenets that I have studied and has helped me understand the power that leaders can have to help people achieve great things.
Bekah Moore encouraged me to enroll in the Organizational Leadership program, and recognized the potential for my development.
My work team makes me better. Molly Cannon, Denby Cluff, Chris Houck, Shivan Mehta, Nathan Nalder, Matt Stasia, Jack Stoner, Wyatt Triplo, Allison Weissinger, Gina McBride, Josh Busby and Will Loutensock every day show up professional, competent and capable and help me become a better engineer, team member and leader.
Finally, the incredible staff and professors at Gonzaga’s Organizational Leadership program who have shared their knowledge, challenged my perspectives and have made themselves available to hone my leadership.
